Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Education and Training to lead the development and execution of comprehensive training programs. This role will oversee the professional development of our fitness professionals, ensure consistent delivery of our high-performance training methodologies, and maintain Equinox's position as the industry leader in fitness education and member experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program Development & Management: Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuously improve training curricula for Coaches and specialized fitness professionals. Develop certification programs that align with Equinox's brand standards and performance philosophy.
- Training Delivery & Quality Assurance: Support the delivery of training programs across multiple locations, ensuring consistency in content, methodology, and outcomes. Conduct train-the-trainer sessions for regional education leads and senior fitness professionals. Establish quality metrics and assessment protocols to measure training effectiveness and professional competency.
- Operational Excellence Develop and manage education department budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Create and maintain training documentation, standards, and compliance protocols. Collaborate with HR and Operations teams to ensure training programs support business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Education, Organizational Psychology, or Human Resources.
- Current nationally recognized certification (NASM, ACSM, NSCA preferred)
- Credentials in training & development or project management (ATD, PMI preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in training or program management, preferably in an operational role in fitness/health/wellness, education, or hospitality
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing training teams
- Experience with learning management systems and training technologies
- Established project management and attention to detail
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to identify program and/or process issues and opportunities for improvement, align with senior team on solutions, and implement changes appropriately
- Ability to learn quickly and organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work autonomously
- Independent thinker, team player; autonomous executor who follows up and follows through
- Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google suite (Drive, Forms, Sites), and internet resourcefulness
Pay Transparency: Min $100K - Max $110K
