Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Site Testing & Optimization to own our web experimentation program and elevate the prospective member journey on Equinox.com. This is a hands-on role for someone who is a self-starter, has a customer-first mindset, and lives and breathes experimentation. You notice what's broken or underperforming before anyone tells you, you have a point of view on what moves users and why, and you don't wait to be told what to test next.

You will focus on improving lead and new membership sales conversion by analyzing user behavior, reducing barriers, running A/B and multivariate tests, and optimizing key actions. You understand how prospective members discover, evaluate, and commit, and you use experimentation to streamline their path to joining.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end experimentation roadmap for Equinox.com, focused on driving high-intent leads and new membership sales through friction reduction and journey optimization
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the experimentation program, from hypothesis design and build to analysis, readouts, and scaling winning experience
  • Develop test hypotheses grounded in behavioral insights, member motivations, and digital experience expectations
  • Build experiments directly within the testing platform, partnering with Design, Product, and Engineering when tests require extended UX or technical support
  • Work closely with Creative and Brand to develop and test content that drives clarity, motivation, and conversion throughout the membership journey online
  • Design experiments for speed, accuracy, and impact, including defining sample sizes, location and success criteria to enable us to test, learn, and iterate quickly
  • Monitor live experiments, flag issues early, and make sound calls when tests have reached statistical significance
  • Deliver clear, compelling experiment readouts that translate results into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain a testing knowledge hub that gives the broader organization visibility into what’s running, what’s won, and what’s been learned

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of eCommerce, Product, or CRO experimentation experience, with deep hands-on expertise in Optimizely or a comparable testing platform
  • Proven ability to design and build tests yourself; you know your testing platform inside and out, including audience setup, traffic allocation, goal configuration, and QA
  • Strong HTML and CSS skills; working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Proficiency in Adobe Analytics, GA4, or a comparable analytics platform
  • Highly data driven, with the ability to spot patterns, interpret behavioral signals, and make confident calls without being dependent on a data team
  • A track record of running high-velocity testing programs
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present results and make recommendations with clarity and conviction
  • A genuine passion for customer behavior, eliminating friction and elevating the overall user experience

Pay Transparency: Min $135k - $145k
