Job Description

Equinox Fitness is actively searching for an experienced and passionate SDET Engineer specializing in automating web and native apps to join our Information Technology team in New York City.

In this full-time, onsite position, you will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity and reliability of our software solutions across both web and mobile automation platforms. Leveraging your expertise in software development testing and profound understanding of security principles, you will spearhead the design and implementation of automated tests and the development of secure automation frameworks. As a pivotal member of our team, you will ensure the robustness of our systems, contributing significantly to our commitment to delivering top-tier experiences for our users.

This is a full-time position located onsite at our NYC Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design and implement automated tests using Selenium web driver, Java and TestNG.  
• Design and develop Automation framework for Mobile applications using Appium for Android and iOS platforms. 
• Develop Automation testing of RESTful Web Services and Web UI. 
• Offer assistance in manual testing efforts whenever necessary to ensure the thorough evaluation of software functionality and performance.
• Analyzing and synthesizing requirements to create test plan, scope and test cases. 
• Utilize, maintain, update existing Java-based Automation Test Framework which uses Java, Selenium Web driver, TestNG, Maven, Rest Assured, Appium and Lambda Test. 
• Responsible for integrating, maintaining and ongoing testing development of the continuous build / integration pipeline (Jenkins). 
• Develop and add automated functional and regression tests in existing test framework. 
• Investigate failed automation tests and report issues in bug tracking system as appropriate 
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts, including vulnerability disclosures 

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Java-based test automation experience as well as manual testing. 
• Experience with QA automation, QA processes, and reports. 
• Successful implementation of automated functional and Regression based test frameworks utilizing open-source tools Selenium 4/Appium/Java/TestNG 
• Should have good understanding of Object-Oriented design and implementation using Java 
• Strong understanding of automated testing for web-based API such as Rest and web services. 
• Experience using tools such as Apache Maven/Jenkins is a must. 
• Experienced in working with version control systems like GIT and used Source code management client tools like GitHub 
• Strong communication skills, oral and written - able to engender trust and respect from peers and stakeholders. 
• Experience with testing security aspects of the application  
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools and frameworks, such as Burp Suite or SonarQube 
• Attention to detail and priority/time management. 

Pay Transparency: $115-125k/yr
