Job Description

Equinox is seeking a 2 to 3-Month Engineering Contractor to join our data team. This role is a hands-on engineering position responsible for cleanly integrating a variety of sources into our data platform. The data platform supports the daily functions of our data warehouse, analytics, and business intelligence teams.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is interested in developing their skills while adhering to a tight delivery timeline. You will work closely with and be mentored by fellow engineers. You will help champion a new initiative and establish best practices for it. You can make a huge impact on a team that is open to change and adopting the latest technologies. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and web scraping tools
• Work on data cleansing and preprocessing tasks to ensure data quality and integrity
• Collaborate with team members to generate comprehensive reports summarizing findings and providing actionable insights.
• Document all processes and standard operating procedures
• Identify and effectively communicate any issues

Qualifications

• You have or are working towards a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• You have experience in Python
• You have knowledge of AWS Redshift
• You have exposure to Data Warehousing principles and an understanding of data modeling concepts and methodologies
• You possess strong documentation and communication skills
• You are creative, flexible, eager to learn, and able to work productively in a deadline-driven environment

Pay Transparency: $25/HR
